Fair Use Policy

At Grafbase, we want to ensure that all of our users have access to the best possible experience when using the Grafbase platform. To help us achieve this goal, we have implemented a fair use policy to ensure that our resources are used fairly and efficiently by all of our users.

Our fair use policy is designed to ensure that all of our users have the opportunity to use our platform in a way that is consistent with their business needs, while also taking into account the impact on the overall performance of our platform.

This policy does not replace but extends our Terms of Use set out here.

Usage Guidelines

In general, we expect all users to adhere to the following guidelines:

• Make reasonable use of our platform. We encourage you to use our platform as much as you need to, but please be mindful of the impact on the overall performance of our platform.
• Avoid making excessive or repetitive requests to our platform.
• Do not attempt to abuse or exploit any vulnerabilities in our platform.

If we determine that your use of our platform is not consistent with these guidelines, we reserve the right to take appropriate action, which may include imposing limits on your use of the platform or terminating your access to the platform altogether.

We are committed to working with all of our users to ensure that our platform is used fairly and efficiently, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us to maintain a high level of performance for all of our users.

Our goal is to be as permissive as possible while ensuring our infrastructure is not put under undue strain and abuse.

Typical Usage Guidelines

All our users get unlimited access to our Global Edge Network at no extra cost but with some limitations based on the plan they have selected for their account.

Our plans all come with unlimited deployments and branches as long as it does not cause any performance issues on our platform. Should your usage cause such an impact, we will contact you to discuss options before taking any actions.

Our Hobby plan limits are applied at the account level, and include usage across all Preview and Production branches combined.

Experimental Features Usage

Occasionally, we will offer experimental features that are free to use for a limited period of time. The usual fair usage policy described on this page applies to these features. Note that we may disable these features at any time without prior warning, although we will always endeavor to provide as much warning as possible.

Commercial Usage

We do not restrict the use of Hobby plans to non-commercial use only. We believe that as a startup, it may be helpful to start offering your product for free in order to drive interest and adoption therefore we allow you to run a small product deployment with the limits highlighted above.

Monitoring and Enforcement

We are committed to ensuring that our fair use policy is consistently and fairly enforced. To achieve this goal, we continuously monitor the usage patterns of all of our users and may take action if we determine that a user's activity is not consistent with the guidelines outlined in our fair use policy. If we determine that a user is in violation of our fair use policy, we will attempt to work with the user to understand their needs and find a solution that allows them to continue using our platform in a way that is consistent with the policy. However, if we are unable to come to an agreement, we reserve the right to take any necessary action to protect the performance of our platform, including imposing limits on the user's access to the platform or terminating their access altogether. We encourage all of our users to review and adhere to our fair use policy to help ensure the best possible experience for everyone on our platform.
